We just want you to know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. We know your faith will pull you and Alex through this. God bless little Aaron, Grace, and Ryan who are also being prayed for daily.

Precious Malarkey Family,
We continue to pray daily for complete healing for Alex and for strength, hope, peace, and unity for all the family. Deut 4:7 "the LORD our God is near to us whenever we pray to him." Ps 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble." Ps 79:8 "May your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need."

Job 42:2
"I know that you can do all things, no plan of yours can be thwarted."

Love,
The Stecklein Family

Beth, Keep strong!!! You are a great mom!
Proverbs 31:27 says that the wife of noble character watches over the ways of her household. The word watch means to hedge about much like a mother bird might do to protect her young. It's more than just giving your child a once over before she rushes out the door. It's an active guarding and protecting. One of the best ways that we can protect our children is by giving them the gift of prayer. Scripture tells us that we can pray a hedge of protection around those we love. Look at this poem about a mother who prays.

I Have a Mother Who Prays

Some have had kings in their lineage,
Some to whom honor was paid.
I don't have those as my ancestors -
But I have a mother who prays.

I have a mother who prays for me -
And pleads with the Lord everyday for me.
Oh what a difference it makes for me -
I have a mother who prays.

My mother's prayers cannot save me,
Only mine can avail;
But mother introduced me to Someone -
Someone who never could fail.

Oh yes…I have a mother who prays for me
And pleads with the Lord everyday for me.
O what a difference it makes for me -
I have a mother who prays.

Kevin, Beth, Aaron, and Ryan,
It was such a pleasure to meet you all last night before you left the hospital. I felt as though I already knew your family, considering the intense, constant thoughts of each of you during the past 7 days.
Grace,
What a beautiful girl you are. You are going to grow up to show a wonderful example of Jesus' love in all that you do. I know this now after I finally was able to make it to Children's to meet and enjoy time with your mommy and daddy. I knew that your name was kept from me until last night to encourage me to continue praying faithfully, for you will certainly show the Grace of the Lord to all.

Alex,
You are a miracle of Jesus, how you must know the love and comfort Christ gives us as he promises in His Word. I don't know how to put into words what I want to say to you yet, but I know that you are being held tight in the Lord's arms as he blesses hundreds of thousands of people around you in preparation for your complete healing. I know we will talk soon. God love and bless you and your wonderful family!

Dear Malarkey Family,
You do not know me, but I have received the prayer request for your dear little one through our Mothers of Preschoolers Grapevine. My four year old son was at Children's Hospital just last week to have a tumor removed from his spinal cord. We spent time in the PICU as well as this past week in the hospital on the third floor. It is not coincidence that you are in the most special of places and have the best of care at Childrens, as I am sure you are finding out. The nurses, doctors and volunteers are among the most caring people I have ever met. You are in the prayers of so many that don't know you but know the healing power of God. I will continue to pray that the love and faith of your friends and family will hold you up in this frightening time.
In Christ,

You continue to be in my prayers continually. I feel so honored to be a part of how God is working in each of your lives and the way He is being glorified by this tragic experience. What Satan meant for evil God has meant to be used for good. We have an AWESOME God and I am believing with you for miracles and healing. Here's the verse I am holding onto: John 11:4 Jesus said, "This sickness in not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it."

Alex, we love you and are praying for you. We can't wait for you to give us a tour of your new house and land! Josh and Caleb want you to show them the barn. Here are some verses for you:
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples. We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD...Then they will put their trust in God. (Ps. 77:11-13, 78:4,7) We look forward to seeing how God will use you in His service!

God is doing wonderfull things to Alex right now. He is healing him everyday, he is letting him breathe mostly on his own now, he is bringing people together by prayer. If you notice God is doing many things not just for Alex but for all of us and he always is. He has a plan for us he knows whats going to happen today, tommorow  and so on. That goes for Alex too. He knows what will happen today, tommorow and so on. But we know no matter what God is good and he loves us and we love him. But we have to get up and make it a good day every day and keep going and going. We have to stick together and never give up on God! God is awsome. He is leading Alex and all of us.
                                   God Bless,
                                                   Katie
