William Alexander (Alex) Malarkey is the precious six year old son of Kevin and Beth Malarkey of Bellefontaine, Ohio. While driving home from church on Sunday, November 14, 2004, Kevin and Alex were involved in a car accident. Even though Kevin was thrown from the vehicle, he was not injured (praise God!). Alex, however, sustained a serious neck injury. According to the doctors, most people who have this type of injury don't make it to the hospital. Alex did make it, and after four-plus months at Children's Hospital, he is now home with his family.

The primary purpose of prayforalex.com is to encourage prayer for Alex and his family. We now have a 24 x 7 prayer calendar where you can sign up to pray for Alex and the Malarkey family at different times of the day, from wherever you are! We think it would be a great blessing to Kevin & Beth for them to know that God's people are covering them with prayer 24 hours a day! God has performed many miracles already, and Alex's progress has far exceeded the expectations of the medical staff at the hospital (see the message boards for details). We know God hears the prayers of the faithful, and we believe he is in the process of doing a mighty work on Alex. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR ALEX!
